It’s hard enough to perfect your regular Singlet Basic for Women design, and now that you’ve finally mastered it, you still need to decide which t-shirt fabric to print it on. It can seem a little scary at first (I mean, it’s a triple mix and why should you care?). But in this guide, we’re going to break it all down to the point where you can find out the fabric composition of sleep shirts.
So read on to learn everything you need to know about choosing the right fabric for your custom Singlet Basic for Women and how different fabric combinations can affect the look of your finished product. Let’s go there.
The Shirt fabric is 100% cotton
Cotton shirts have a lot to offer. They are usually the cheapest option and also show the colors very well. Your colors won’t show up on other fabrics like a 100% cotton t-shirt.
Cotton shirts are still the least soft option, but your 100% cotton shirt doesn’t have to be uncomfortable anyway. At Real Thread, we don’t sell t-shirts that we think you won’t like. But let me tell you, there will always be a difference in comfort between a 100% cotton shirt and a tri-blend shirt.

Also, not all cotton shirts are created equal. There really is a noticeable difference between one t-shirt company and another. This Next Level tee has it all (just read the reviews) and if you’re looking for a budget option, it’s hard to beat.
Graphic closure of the shirt
100% cotton t-shirts have been around for as long as there have been, so I assume you already know how it feels. You probably already have some, so let’s move on to polyester-cotton blends.
Polyester and cotton jersey blends
Slightly softer than 100% cotton shirts are poly button blends. Polyester is produced through a chemical process, so you won’t see much polyester growing on the outside, at least not woven into the shirt. Polyester is often more heat resistant, more water resistant, and more resistant to wrinkles and tears than 100% cotton shirts. They also give the shirt a bit more stretch which is quite nice.

Polyesters are used in a wide variety of everyday items such as bottles, sheets and tarps. They are also a staple in many wood finishes, especially those on guitars, pianos and boats. Although plastic may not seem like the most useful material, it is a very versatile material that is used in a number of places you may not have thought of.
If you haven’t tried a polyester t-shirt yet (it’s amazing how many t-shirts contain polyester), it might be time to see how durable and comfortable they are. If you’re looking for a recommendation, American Apparel offers one of our best sellers in a cotton/poly blend, plus Next Level 6210. It costs a little more than a cotton tee, but if you’re looking for softness. go, it’s worth it.
Triple blend jersey fabric
Hence the name, tri-blends are a blend of three materials: cotton, polyester and rayon. The rayon is the real magic here. It is a processed material, but it is not considered synthetic because it is made of an organic material, wood pulp. Due to different manufacturing techniques, rayon can look like silk, wool, linen or cotton. It’s amazing what you can do with some wood.

If you don’t currently own a tri-blend tee, you’ll want to find out just how comfortable one of these tees can be. This next-level coverage really takes things to the next level. It’s hard to find a product anywhere that gets 4.9 stars. Simply put, triple blends are usually the most expensive of the three options. But if you haven’t tried a tri-blend t-shirt yet and want the world’s most comfortable t-shirt, it’s worth it.
